This season Alex Blas will take things to the next level by fusing fine art and fashion.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Artist turned designer Alex Blas may have changed canvases but his design work continues to flourish. This season Blas will preview key pieces from his (Fall 2014) Womenswear Collection. His designs where inspired by “timeless elegance.” The presentation will take place during LA Fashion Week in downtown Los Angeles.
As an emerging designer there is no better way to penetrate the fashion industry than Fashion Week. This particular (red carpet) event will take place on the 1010 Wilshire rooftop on March 14th. VIP's, socialites, tastemakers, media, and (local) buyers will be in attendance.
Alex Blas was born in 1978 in Mexico City and received his degree in 1999 from Santa Ana College. His artwork has been shown at the Lyons Weir Gallery in New York, the George Billis Gallery in Los Angeles, as well as Manifest Equality in Los Angeles, and at the Legends of La Cienega (sponsored by Elle Décor magazine). Blas currently live and works in Northern California, where he designed his fashion collection.
